Aging and Adult Services
Aging and Adult Services: The Aging and Adult Services Branch provides health and social work services to seniors and people with disabilities. Their mission is to empower and serve the aging population and persons living with disabilities to live safely in their homes and with dignity. The goal of Aging and Adult Services is to delay or prevent inappropriate institutionalization of seniors and people with disabilities. This goal is achieved through the delivery and coordination of home and community based services.

Alliance on Aging
The Alliance on Aging is a private, non-profit organization in operation since 1970, with a mission to provide services and resources that promote optimum independence, dignity and quality of life for all Seniors in Monterey County.
For more than 40 years, the Alliance on Aging has been the place to turn to for older adult programs and services. They are the sole source provider in Monterey County for essential senior services including:
- HICAP Medicare Counseling Program
- Ombudsman Program to protect long term care residents against abuse
- Senior Peer Counseling
- IRS Tax Counseling Program
- Outreach
- Senior Luncheon
- Benefits Checkup

Del Mar Caregiver Resource Center
Del Mar Caregiver Resource Center: Del Mar Caregiver Resource Center offers services for family caregivers (family members or friends) of adults living with a brain impairment such as: Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, dementia, Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, brain tumors or brain injury, mild cognitive impairment, and other conditions that may cause memory loss or confusion.

La Casa Adult Day Health Center, Inc.
La Casa Adult Day Health Center, Inc.: La Casa Adult Day Health Center, Inc. is designed to provide Health Care, Social and Recreation Services for Adults and Seniors in a therapeutic and nurturing environment. Funded by Medi-Cal, VA or Private Pay. Their aim is to fulfill the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and personal needs of every participant and increase their independence.

Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels of the Monterey Peninsula, Inc.: This wonderful nonprofit organization serves elders in our community through services emanating from the Sally Griffin Active Living Center in Pacific Grove. They deliver meals to qualifying recipients throughout the Monterey Peninsula, and provide healthy, hearty and tasty lunchtime meals at locations on the Peninsula. They also have an amazing variety of Fitness, Wellness, Enrichment and Social Activities.
Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley: Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley believes no senior should go hungry, so they deliver meals to the home of people who are unable to shop or cook for themselves. Their nutritious meals, delivered throughout the Salinas Valley by caring volunteers, improve the health and well-being of people who are homebound, elderly or disabled, helping them to remain in their home and maintain their independence.
